Empagliflozin removes extra carbohydrates from the body through urine. Linigliptin, on the other hand, causes the pancreas to generate more insulin (a hormone that helps the body digest carbohydrates). These actions used together, regulate blood sugar levels and enhance glycaemic control in people with type II diabetes.
